Three of the checks have to ask an outside service, so your IP address is visible to them: api.ipify.org for your public IP address, ipapi.co for your network, ISP and approximate location, and speed.cloudflare.com for the connection speed test. If you press the precise location button and allow it, the map is loaded from Google Maps with your coordinates. Everything else is read in your own browser.

What this means
Most of this is normal, and a working web depends on a lot of it. The point is that taken together, these signals can build a fingerprint that recognises you across sites, even without cookies. None of it is uploaded by us. If you would like to reduce your exposure, a good start is a privacy respecting browser, sensible permissions, and tracker blocking. We cover this under cyber security.
