1 Introduction

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that Dead Simple Computing Ltd has taken to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or supply chain.

Dead Simple Computing Ltd, trading as Dead Simple Computing and DSC - Cyber And Managed Services, is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.

2 About Our Business

Dead Simple Computing Ltd is a UK-based managed service provider (MSP) specialising in:

  • IT support and managed services
  • Cybersecurity services and consultancy
  • Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) services
  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure management
  • Business automation solutions

3 Our Supply Chain

Our supply chain primarily consists of:

  • Technology vendors: Hardware manufacturers, software publishers, cloud providers (UK, US, EU-based)
  • Licensing partners: Microsoft, Google, and other software vendors
  • Professional services: Subcontractors, consultants, specialist providers
  • Operational suppliers: Office supplies, utilities, business services

Our supply chain is predominantly established technology companies and professional service providers operating in regulated markets with low inherent risk of modern slavery.

4 Our Policies

Recruitment and Employment

  • Verify identity and right to work of all employees
  • Pay at least National Living Wage with fair compensation
  • Do not use forced, bonded, or involuntary labour
  • Do not retain identity documents or require deposits
  • Ensure written contracts of employment for all staff

Supplier and Procurement

  • Conduct due diligence on new suppliers before contracting
  • Include modern slavery clauses in contracts where appropriate
  • Prioritise suppliers demonstrating ethical commitment
  • Reserve right to terminate relationships with non-compliant suppliers

Whistleblowing

  • Encourage reporting of concerns about unethical conduct
  • Reports can be made confidentially without fear of retaliation
  • All reports investigated with appropriate action taken

5 Due Diligence

We assess modern slavery risk by:

  • Evaluating nature and location of supplier operations
  • Considering sector and industry risk factors
  • Reviewing supplier policies and certifications
  • Monitoring for indicators of modern slavery

Given the nature of our business and supply chain, we assess our overall risk as low but remain vigilant.

6 Training and Awareness

Relevant staff are aware of:

  • Indicators of modern slavery and human trafficking
  • How to report concerns
  • Our commitment to ethical business practices

  • Percentage of new suppliers subject to due diligence review
  • Number of concerns raised and investigated
  • Completion of staff awareness activities
  • Regular review and update of this statement
